  • MBBS from a recognized University. In case of foreign universities, the candidate must have cleared the examination conducted by National Board of Examinations & the score must also be submitted.
  • Must be registered with Delhi Medical Council.
  • Must have completed internship by the date of publication of this notice.
  • Age limit 40 years as on the first day of January of the concerned year i.e.01.01.2015. Standard age relaxation will be applicable of SC/ST and OBC candidates.
  • Post Graduate doctors who are interested to serve as Junior Residents will be allowed to join as Junior Residents if fresh graduates are not available.
  • Junior Residents (MBBS) who have completed one year of Junior Residency may be allowed to again appear for interview for selection and will be offered residency only if no fresh junior residents are available. There would be no extension any junior residents beyond one year of appointment under relaxed provisions.
  • Appointment will be initially for a period of 06 months extendable up to 01 year in case of Junior Resident. Extension is subject to satisfactory work and conduct.
  • Appointment will be subject to Medical Fitness and Verification of Certificate of Educational Qualification /Age/Caste/DMC Registration and Internship Completion Certificate.
  • Category wise panel will be prepared for Junior Residents for further vacancies.
  • The candidates applying for OBC Category should furnish the OBC Certificate issued by the Competent Authority of GNCT of Delhi. OBC certificate of other states would not be accepted.
  • In case of non availability of SC /ST/OBC Category Candidates, the posts shall be filled up on 89 days on Ad-hoc Basis from General Category and vice-a-versa.
  • Reservation of various categories of posts will be as per rule.
  • The number of vacancies indicated above may vary.
  • 3% of seats out of the sanctioned posts in the eligible specialties will be reserved for physically handicapped persons.(as per Gazette Notification of Govt. of India vide No.75 dated 18th Jan.2007)
  • You are required to bring original copies of the documents at the time of Interview substantiating your qualification, Marks, Professional registration, experience, age and category. For OBC, certificate issued from Delhi state alone will be valid.
  • In case of non availability of SC/ST/OBC candidates the posts would be filled up for 89,days on Ad-hoc basis from general category and vice-versa as per the terms and conditions in job profile displayed on the MCD portal.
  • A copy of the passport size photo which is uploaded on to the online application also should be submitted.
  • Submission of false information and forged document will invite rejection even after appearing for the decision of the duly constituted board will be final.
  • Every application has to be accompanied by demand draft of Rs.200/- in favour of “Commissioner EDMC”. SC/ST and PH candidate is exempted from payment.
